Bec + Sean – Osteria Real Wedding
One Sunday in January, Bec + Sean visited us for the Tweed Wedding Trail and fell in love! Not with each other, that love was already well under way, they fell in love with their perfect venue. The wedding to follow was beautifully styled, filled with happiness and enjoyed with loved ones, plus so many oh so sweet details, including a little surprise bump!
Our Bride Bec shares some more about her day.
THE WEDDING STYLE –
Classic with a modern twist. We loved the simple and elegant look, nothing too over the top but still beautiful in its own way. We also wanted a bit of a tropical look which we filtered through the florals and woven fans which were brought back from Samoa by Sean’s dad.
WHY CHOOSE OSTERIA –
We attended the Tweed Wedding Trail and loved Osteria because we could have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. Both our families had to travel to celebrate with us so it meant there was no need to organise travel in between which was perfect! We also loved the relaxed vibe of the secluded garden area and the whisky bar which both suited our personalities and style of our wedding. It was in a great location, close to the beach and beautiful photo opportunities.
FAVOURITE PART ABOUT OSTERIA –
It’s tricky to pick our most favourite part about getting married at Osteria because there were honestly just so many! We did love how private and cozy it felt with our family and friends though. We were on such a high being able to finally celebrate it as we should have the year before when we decided to elope during the first COVID breakout. So sharing it on our one year wedding anniversary being pregnant with our 20 week old baby so intimately with our family meant a lot to us.
FAVOURITE DISH ON THE MENU –
We had so so many compliments about the food, the quantity and the quality! And I feel like that’s one of the big things people remember about weddings, right!? Our favourite, and a popular amongst guests was the lamb shoulder.
THAT SPECIAL MOMENT –
We were just so relieved we were able to finally celebrate the day with our friends and family and have (most of) them all together with us. We really loved being able to share such an intimate elopement with just ourselves and two friends the year before and then being able to celebrate it all again with different vows and another ring in front of our friends and family. It’s something we would never have organised for ourselves originally but wouldn’t change now.
A LITTLE TIP –
We are so glad we organised videography for the day! It wasn’t for the entire day/night, but for the main parts and is just such a beautiful memory that gives us all the feels every time we watch it.
