Keely + Tim – Osteria Real Wedding

Keely + Tim said “I do” in our garden on a perfect Tweed Winter’s day.

Winter weddings are among our absolute favourite – dry, sunny days and crisp, cozy nights with the heaters and fairy lights in the Whiskey garden – it’s a beautiful time of the year on the Tweed Coast and we’re lucky to be blessed with mild temperatures, even in the colder months. Plus, the added bonus, being off peak season you can usually snag some pretty sweet discounts from suppliers with Winter offers and availability of venue dates and accommodation generally much easier, being a bit less busy.

Keely + Tim’s July wedding proves how perfect (and sunny) a winter wedding can be. Hear more about their day from our beautiful Bride, Keely.

The Wedding Style –

Modern classic garden party with some warm winter vibes.

Why Osteria

We attended the Tweed Wedding Trail back in 2019 and fell in love with Osteria as soon as we walked in. We wanted a venue that included both ceremony and reception options and a venue that was full of character without needing to add too much to it. We wanted the day to be relaxed, intimate and feel like a big party and the spaces at Osteria from the garden, to the hall and the whiskey bar allowed just that. I addition to all of that, the food/drink options were perfect for our vibe and the photo locations around the venue were exactly what we wanted for our day.

The Best Part –

So many things! The planning and coordination of the day was made so easy and enjoyable because of the amazing team at Osteria. The food and drinks packages are amazing with so many options and we loved that curfew was later that a lot of other venues meaning we could really make the most of the day.

Favourite Thing on the Menu –

We were so excited when we found out that Lolita’s were offering food packages for weddings. Without hesitation, we chose the Mexican menu and we still get comments about how good the food was! It’s hard to choose just one standout meal but for us it was probably the popcorn chicken and the brisket.

A Special Moment –

I feel like every moment was special when I think back but the one that comes to mind was when Timmy and I took a moment to ourselves out in the garden. We sat down on the lounges and just took it all in that this was our day and just spent 5 minutes as husband and wife without anyone else around. This was the first time all day we really got to speak with each other and I am so glad that I listened when a friend gave us this advice before the day.
