Lizzy + Travis – Osteria Real Wedding
Lizzy + Travis found the perfect venue for their modern Italian style wedding. With Osteria being an Italian word and our Italian influenced menu, it was a match made in heaven. 180 guests flowed through the indoor/outdoor spaces for this cocktail wedding before culminating in the refinery for one major dance party. And if that wasn’t enough, we could talk about the incredible garden party styling by Enamour Weddings or the late night cannelloni snacks or the stunning bridal dress change, but we’ll let our beautiful bride share more about their dream day.
The Wedding Style –
Modern Italian
Why Osteria –
We chose Osteria for the feel. We originally had our eyes set on another venue and dropped in to Osteria at the Wedding Trail and fell in love. Osteria offered everything we were looking for. The whiskey bar area was one of our favourite points and I also loved that Osteria is a large space but also closed in so it doesn’t feel too squishy or sparse. It’s the perfect venue for any wedding style.
The Best Part –
We had 180 guests at our wedding and I loved that no matter what part of the day it never felt squishy. The set up of the venue kept the vibes high throughout the whole wedding as sections were able to be shut off or opened up throughout the day. Working with Isobel in the planning stage would have to have been a highlight of mine. She was so friendly and efficient and made the coordination of our day so easy. We love the food, the drinks and without a doubt, we loved the feeling of the whole space that helped make our day unforgettable. I’ll never regret doing our first dance in the court yard under the starts.
Favourite Thing on the Menu –
We had a cocktail style wedding and got to try lots of different canapés. Travis and I didn’t get to try everything but my favourite was definitely the lamb cutlets and Travis, the pork belly.
A Special Moment –
There were so many incredible moments but our favourite would have to be the whole inside area turning into a dance floor. There was barely a spare space to sit by the end of the night. Everyone had either gathered on ‘the’ dance floor or created their own somewhere. It was the best.
