Maddie + Sam – Osteria Real Wedding

After stumbling across our seaside venue, Maddie + Sam fell in love with the traditional, but modern feels of Osteria, allowing their minimal styling to support the shining venue. The couple were thankful for our wet weather backup option, having to move their ceremony into our refinery due to heavy downpour. Our beautiful Bride Maddie share some more about her dream wedding day at Osteria.

THE WEDDING STYLE –

I would say our style is minimalist. We had quite minimal decorations and really played up the space with greenery/florals and let the beautiful venue shine as opposed to actual decorations!

HOW THEY FOUND US –

Sam actually came across your instagram page. We have visited Casuarina numerous times and had driven past, but had absolutely no idea what was hidden beyond the cafe!

WHY OSTERIA –

We absolutely loved the vibe of the venue – traditional still, but modern enough with enough space and facilities for what we wanted. The location was absolutely perfect as well!

THE BEST PART –

Everything was so easy for planning our wedding here. The packages they offer are incredible, and leave very little left to source from outside companies. The location, once again is perfect. But mainly the fact that everything was done for us just made it totally stress free and amazing! They also had an incredible wet weather option as well – which was totally necessary considering it was pouring on our wedding day!

FAVOURITE THING ON THE MENU

We selected the Italian meal package and it was bloody outstanding. ALL of our guests STILL rave on about how it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! The mushroom pasta was a crowd pleaser – but the pizza was exceptional too! All the food was just soooo delicious.

THE HARDEST PART OF WEDDING PLANNING –

It being over so quickly! Luckily, Sam and I have the exact same taste, so selecting everything was really quick and easy for us! Because we planned our wedding 16 months in advance, it felt like we didn’t even have to think about it until a month prior which didn’t make it feel real at all! (I realise that we are very lucky that this was the hardest part for us hahahah!)

THE BEST PART OF WEDDING PLANNING –

Honestly, everything. I love that Sam was totally on board and involved in the planning just as much as I was. Our dream wedding came to life so naturally and it was so exciting seeing it all come together. Finding my dream wedding dress was especially a special moment for me too – I’ve never felt more beautiful and confident in myself than I did on my wedding day!

A SPECIAL MOMENT –

Apart from the obvious (marrying my best friend), being together with our family and close friends was just the absolute best. I just loved celebrating our love and having delicious food and drinks and being with the people we love! It’s so true when people say your wedding is the best day of your life.
